Happy Meal Photographed Weekly Shows No Change After Half Year

New York City photographer Sally Davies purchased a McDonalds Happy Meal on April 10th of this year and left it out uncovered on her coffee table to prove wrong a friend who said it would rot after only a few days.

After about two weeks of photographing the food, Davies realized that absolutely nothing was happening, so she began taking pictures once a week. After 180 days Davies shot the 27th photograph, with the meal looking almost identical to when she first bought it.

The 1st and 27th photograph taken half a year apart are shown above.

Check out the entire project on this Flickr set.

The most interesting part about this is reading the comments people have left for it.

Lots of accusations flying around of it being a different bun because of the different marks on the second picture.

Other people saying that a normal burger would behave in the same way because of the frying method.... who's volunteering to put this to the test in real lab conditions?

Have you seen the 4 year old cheese burger (I think its over 6 years old now?)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IGtDPG4UfI

McDonald's food, like virtually all processed foods is packed full of preservatives and junk. The woman left the burger on her window sill for months, and nothing ate it! The bugs and rodents weren't interested because they knew it was bad news.

If you haven't seen it, watch the documentary called "Supersize me" where a guy eats nothing but Mcdonalds a month. The effects on his body were immense. His doctor was stunned at the demise in his health.

Another good documentary to watch is "Sweet Misery". Its about the artificial sweetner Aspartame. This stuff caused holes in the brains of lab rats as well as tumors. Part of the ingredient for it comes from a genetically modified strain of e-coli bacteria. What the bacteria poops out goes to make Phenylalanine, one of the components of Aspartame. Its in everything from drinks to sweets and cakes.

Same here mate. Its all garbage that destroys your organs and weakens your immune system. Sometimes i wonder how man can be so arrogant to think he can eat unnatural chemical laced foods and not get sick. Its little wonder why cancers have gone from being almost non existent a century ago, to affecting 1 in 3 (expected to rise to 1 in 2) people!!

I've got a muffin top too, and I'm not talking about a crumpler bag lol. It was many moons ago that my 6 pack got upgraded to a keg. The Reebok belly got me good and proper. My girlfriend is always on at me to lose weight but, I keep telling her, with the price of gas and electric to heat your home nowadays, it makes economic sense to be a salad dodger. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol.

Actually, if I'm honest, I eat a lot of salads... its just I'm a sucker for cakes, biscuits and haribo fizzy sweets too. Its the sugar that makes you a chunky monkey!
