Is that all the hi-res requests done with and do we assume if we never got one this morning that we are now officially not in the running? Christine.

Hi Christine,

It doesn't mean that - while some people will have had hi-res requests, the majority of the shortlisting is being carried out without using the hi-res shots to compile it.

The shortlist will be announced very soon, if your images aren't in it, only then will you definitely know if you are out of the running.

Hope that helps, any questions do drop us a line.

Best wishes,

Amy

Come on guys, if you get asked for a hi-res, post a link so we can see which image - or do you mean to tease

So why are only some being asked for high res images before being shortlisted Amy? Or is that top secret...lol!

I should imagine its to do with the size of the file originally submitted to the competion. Some people may have reduced the physical size/compressed their entries down significantly and while appearing to be good enough for the shortlist, the judges require a larger, high resolution version to view the photographs in greater detail.

That's my take on it but, I could be (and most llikely are lol) wrong.

Well i had a high res request to find that i couldnt upload it,I emailed and was told that the judges have managed to asses my image in the format uploaded,so i reckon if you havent had a request you arent out of the running to be in with a chance!?
