I'm amazed at the lengths they'll go to to get people talking about a show.

I like the show ,but I still say its a fix! Over the years there have been better singers voted out supposedly by the public whilst others that are crap go through.
The judges saving one from the last two is a sham they will always pick the one thats a threat to them to be kicked even if they are the best act on the night.
I say that all votes should be made public or a different way of voting brought in as at the moment there is no way to verify the voting system even though they say its verified by certain adjudicators.
Cheers ...Bill

Its all over sky news this morning, Paul. Appareantly Gamu is being deported! Billy, I think a lot of it is fixed as well but its all good entertainment and gets everyone talking! :-) One of the main reasons I watch it is because I quite like Simon ( just don't tell my husband) lol

So Karen, you're into odd haircuts and strange Parisian waistbands

Wildcard sounds interesting - but most people will look at it as another money spinning exercise.

And would Gamu have been deported if she hadn't appeared on national TV...

LOL I must be! I just find Simon incredibly attractive. Wildcard is money spinning for sure because we will be expected to phone up and viote ( which I never do anyway). I feel sorry for Gamu, this may have highlighted her immigration status. I was going to go along to the auditrions this year to diocument all the people who turned up but was away. I think next year I am going to go along and do some people shots.

Er . . I don't have a TV - seriously. And if I did, I would want to see an F-stop Factor show, possibly called 'The F Stops Here' - amateur photographers get 30 minutes to shoot 10 frames for a story, from an unknown brief; public and famous togs vote on the best photos; 5 finalists have an assignment covering a major news event or such. The prize is shadowing a famous photographer for a day or two. The show could go on ad infinitum. What about something original like that?

Regards
Denise

I don't blame you Denise. 90% of what is on the tv these days is rubbish and I think that the only reason I have one these days is for the kids. I watch maybe 4/5 hours a week.

Denise, there was a show once on Channel 4 called " picture this". Martin parr was on it alongisde Alex Proud, Joy Gregory and Brett Rogers ( judges). They had asked people on flickr I think to compete for a place in the show. Anyway, each week they'd have a different sort of task and there was an eventual winner that got an exhibtion and publishing deal. Matt you'l have to put a bet on that, you never know lol
