hmmm, I've had a request this morning and my entry was obviously reduced for web use but by no means small or poorly compressed. I'll attempt my upload this evening and see what happens I guess

Hi everyone,

Just to clear up some confusion for you:

Some people were asked for hi-res shots automatically, but while waiting for them to come in the judges were able to use the original shots that were uploaded. To save huge files being sent to us when the judging had already happened, we disabled this for some people.

For many people, their images were placed on the shortlist *without* a hi-res version being requested because their original image was big/clear enough for the judges to tell.

As this week goes on, more and more hi-res image requests will be received as the competition progresses past the shortlist. The shortlist itself will start to be revealed from this Friday onwards, if your images do not appear on this shortlist then you will officially be out of the running.

Hope all that makes sense, and any questions please do drop us a line.

Good luck everyone!

Amy

Hi guys,

I too have been unable to upload my high-res version. Any ideas? Who should I get in touch with?

Have had a request for a Hi-res image of my entry http://www.photoradar.com/photograph...ght-of-fantasy ...no problem in uploading... keeping my fingers crossed...had request for 2 of my images last year but none of them made it to the short list...I guess just being selected is itself is an achievement...best of luck to all..

Hi Carla,

This may have been an error with the automated system, but if you have uploaded your hi-res version once all will be fine.

Alternatively, if you entered your image into more than one category, it could have potentially been shortlisted twice which would be why you would receive the message twice.

Hope that helps and best of luck!

Amy

Amy

I think there must have been a problem with the system as I got a request for a higher res pic the other day and complied with it. Found to my amazement and utter delight yesterday that I had been shortlisted in the landscape section but then got another request for a high res version last night. I have checked the link and it is showing as a high resolution version supplied so assume that the judges were seeing it Ok to shortlist me. If that is an erroneous assumpotiuon on my part please advise me Amy as I have ignored the second request as a system error at this point. And thanks ever so much judges for shortlisting me - even if I get no further it has made my day!
