Pentax Optio RZ10 any good?

hi guys, im thinking of getting one of these Pentax Optio RZ10 as a good camera to take mountain biking with me and other places. as its £179 would i be better off gettign another camera?

I think that model was good when it came out (nearly 4 years ago) but is a bit dated now. It's also reported to be noisy and possibly not sharp. Others have come along to replace it - and that price is way off the mark. I'd go for something like the H90, E80 or E85 (all Pentax Optios)..... but I don't think I'd be buying at the place you got the RZ10 price.... shop around, buy online.

what canon or other point and shoot would u suggest?

At the price you were going to pay for the RZ10? So, under 200 quid? I'd have to think about that - I don't know enough about the UK market. Anybody else? If it was a compact Canon, any cost, I'd say the G12.
