Flash for D90

Hi all,

I was thinking of buying the Nissin Di866 Speedlite Pro for my Nikon D90 as featured in Digital Camera mag issue 97.

Mainly going to be used at awards evenings and family portraits.
Thoughts?

Personally, I'd go for a Nikon SB-600 or SB-900. Lord knows that they're complex enough and the manuals are obtuse enough. At least they are sure to integrate with Nikon CLS; there's no guarantee what will happen if you try to mix the Nissin with other flashes. Few enough people give advice on the Nikon systems, add in a Nissin and I think you'll be on your own.

This is not to say that it's a bad flashgun, or will not work with your D90. Just be aware that very few people will be around when you need assistance with it.

Chris

Think I'm going to go with the SB-900.

Much appreciated.

The sb 900 is a great flash, if you have a basic understanding of how flash works you really shpuldnt need the manual.
