apple's aperture vs acr

ok, my laptop is dying by the minute and i might go and get a mac in the morning but thought i would ask.......

those of you with a mac, do you use apple's aperture or ACR?

i use acr at the moment and love the way it works but cant stand using bridge, its so power hungry and ends up hanging when loading a file of a few thousand pics.

I use ACR as supplied with elements 8 on my mac. I'm currently working on a directory with 500 Nikon raw files in it and haven't noticed any performance issues...

You should download the free 30day trial of Aperture and Lightroom 3 and see how they suit you.

After you have tried LR3 I doubt you will want to go back to Bridge and ACR.

I must be one of the few Paul. I can't get on with LR - prefer Bridge and ACR - Mini Bridge in CS5 is good too.

I use ACR / Photoshop CS5 for RAW conversions and tweaks - and LR for DAM (but once I've had LR longer than a couple of weeks, I'll start trying it for RAW conversions too).
