We have some suggestions coming into our Facebook fan page if you care to look...

And another one we've had from the office is to use a hairdryer on cool setting to dry it all, it will shrink as it dries then use a tweezer or similar to scape out the offending bits...

Good luck whatever you try!

You could also try some ROR fluid, it's excellent for getting rid of all sorts of muck.

I was going to ask what flavour it was, but I guess you've had enough of all the wise cracks by now. I always clean my camera body (and have used this method for over 30 years) using a microfiber cloth soaked in boiling water and when cool enough to wring out nearly dry wipe over the camera until all the marks are off. If needs must follow this routine until clean. You shouldn't use any chemicles like washing up liquid etc, just plain hot water. I do this after every major outing as a matter of course. OK, was it black cherry? I love black cherry.

A damp cloth that has been dipped in soapy water should do the trick. For the tricky bits try a softish scouring pad and using the edge of the pad.

As a last resort, when you tried everything else and given up, just before you lob it in the bin, try taking the battery and card out and soaking it in clean fresh water (distilled would be even better) then letting it dry thoroughly somewhere warm not hot such as an airing cupboard.

That should clean it, but as I say last resort if all else has failed

Morrisson's? Somehow blame it on Richard Hammond (though I hear he is not doing ads for them now)

Well I think we're all on tenterhooks waiting to hear how you got on...

Did any of the suggestions work for you?
