Mb's- the Nikon D3 and D3x

hi all,

been thinking on getting either the D3 or D3x for my work and i read that the D3x produces 140 or 160 mb ( cant remember the number) in a TIFF file format and i was woundering who do you D3 and D3x owners send theses files over the internet ? as i do alot of sending images over the internet --- all responses welcome

Well, if they're tiff files you can compress them. Quite a lot. Why would you need to send tiff files over the internet anyway?!

The D3 produces Tiff files of about 35mb whilst, the D3x produces Tiffs of about 70mb. The figure you quote above refers to Hasselblad's H3D-39 which could produce 128mb files in CMYK format for laser printers or four spot colour printing.

As to sending over the internet mostly, that is done as Jpegs which you convert them to after processing and adding a colour profile, which most printers will send you upon request.

thank you for the replys - can i dont know there i got that figure from then haha - and I have to send tiff over internet as new editor says so lol
