Overall, it's a nice site. My only main criticisms are that it's really slow to load and, personally, I hate websites that pop-up with music. If I was looking around for a photographer and that happened, I'd close your site down and ignore it without looking any further...

I would normally agree with Chris on the issue of music on websites but in this case I feel it works well and helps create an atmosphere that connects people to the type of photography you have. I would, however, turn it down a bit, volume wise. No speed issues from this end. Overall I like the site.

I agree with Chris. No automatic music. It is a poor design and does generally turn people off right away. I do not like the auto flipping of pictures either, but that is just me, I know many like it. Speed wise it loaded ok for me, but that just means that the internet hogs at work have no come in yet.

The look and feel of it is great, BUT if it was a site that we were building there is no way we would have music, i always advice against it as its a bit too intrusive.

The rotating images at the top could do with either taking out completely or give them a slightly softer changeover, either sliding like you've got them but slower, or fading.

if you don't mind using flash you could always try cu3er, its free and when done right can look very nice, although i usually try to steer clear of flash.

Overall a very nice looking site mate!

A bit of SEO info for you
(you might already know)

You should also move your meta keywords and descriptions tag to the top just inside the head tag, try paying a bit more attention to your alt tags, i would use a few more keywords in them (but still try and keep them short - 3-4 words max). Your log needs an alt tag with your key phrase too.

Your keywords would benefit from being in bold where you can.

If your running window, download WebCEO, its one of the tools we use to monitor seo stats.

If you haven't already, get a Google account and sign up to google analytics, its all free. install the code onto your site (every page) and you will be able to tell how many visitors, where from, what searches the used to get to your site etc etc.

Again if you haven't already, sign up to google local businesses, its the links next to the maps at the top when you do a search, again its all free.

try to link to your site from other reputable sites.

there's a lot more to it but that should keep you going for now.

I agree - no music please. Photography is nice, but for me a photo website needs to first be practical, easy to navigate, and totally user friendly. Simplicity is the key to success I think. I love the look of the SmugMug website skins for this reason, and their pro accounts leave nothing else to need and deserve a look at before building your own. http://www.smugmug.com/pro/
