Which lens lives on the front of your camera and why?

Which lens do you typically keep on your camera, and why?

I tend to keep a Nikkor 35mm f1.8 on my D90. Partly because it’s the best lens I have in terms of quality, but mainly because using a prime lens, and not having the versatility of a zoom, makes me think more about the pictures I’m taking. Hopefully this will help me become a better photographer.

I'm afraid, I think this is a question that I can't answer.

Except, I don't have one lens that lives on my cameras. It does depend what I'm shooting.

Err, why bother replying then?

You are obviously a more serious photographer, who does more than I do, or the type of person this post was clearly aimed at.
