Just a few shots

Taken on a day out to Banham Zoo. S5600 Fuji but don't ask me the rest of the settings!

Kenzie, I'm afraid the first one doesn't work at all. The Leopard and the Otter(?) could be excellent but need some more contrast - I don't know if you use any editing software but it needs only a simple adjustment to Levels. And a little crop.

The only software I have is what came with the camera, in this case a fuji s5600. Was looking for a d5000 but budget restrictions I now have an Hs10. Would contrast bring out the colour more as I have no experience of editing as you can see!

Yes, it would a little and certainly bring them to life a little more. I don't know anything about your Fuji software.

Also, Picasa is a pretty good free editor - very simple and will definitely improve your pictures.

Photoscape is also very good, and free.

The Big Brother of free editing software is very powerful Gimp.... but I don't recommend it for a complete beginner..... even as a fairly experienced photo editor I find that a lot of its techniques and features are just not logical - but perhaps it's because it's so different to the now-universal Photoshop techniques.
