Technically, it appears to be an excellent shot - sharp, with lots in focus, filled the frame, vibrant colours.
Subject matter - well, you have to be a fan of insects to enjoy this one (I can't stand the ******s).
It also looks just a tad overexposed - nothing that can't be sorted out in your editing program. A touch of Levels correction maybe, and that would also give more apparent sharpness. Don't make the mistake of Sharpening it, though.

As Geoff has already said, it's nice and sharp and well composed. I'm not sure what's going on the bottom left corner by the foot, it could be flare but it's difficult to tell. I think that it needs more depth of field (or even less). The antenna on the left of the shot seems to be the sharpest part of the photo and the magnification is great enough that the DoF is pretty small and doesn't extend far enough.

Macro always limits the DoF use a prog like zerrene photo stacker then take loads of photos with the focus at different depths, the software extracts all the in focus bits and makes a pic from them, Very good, you can get a trial here http://zerenesystems.com/stacker/
and it explains better than I, All the best
