Recently lost Panasonic DMC FZ38 - Any recommendations on replacement?

Hi,

I recently returned from a trip and stupidly left a ruck sack bag on the airport trolley in the car park.
Contained within was my camera and video camera, both Panasonic.

The Panasonic camera I had was the DMC FZ38.

In all, I was happy with this camera. The only disappointments were some of the auto features such as Flowers close up and night shots.

Anyway, I'm on the look out for some advice on buying a new camera ......
Ideally, looking for something similar - any recommendations?

Much appreciated .....
