Unhappy Problems uploading photo's - form does not include all categories.

The photo upload form found at http://www.photoradar.com/photo/upload does not include a way to upload to the categories of Portraits, Travel and Wildlife.

Also, there is nowhere to fill in details of the camera used.

The photo upload form found on the PhotoRadar site, does have a way to give camera details and upload to ALL categories, BUT THE FORM DOES NOT ALLOW PHOTO'S TO BE UPLOADED and simply keeps returning to the form again.

If you read my other thread on this subject 'Unable to Upload Photo's', you'll see that I'm not the only one to have this problem.

Perhaps a member of staff or a moderator can look into these problems and advise how to overcome or correct the problems.

Hi Amber,

I've tried to recreate your problems, but I can't seem to. On the PhotoRadar site you can enter it into those categories you mention by clicking on the check box. EXIF details should be drawn in from the photograph itself, but you're right you can only manually enter these on the actual POTY site.

Can I ask which browser and operating system you are using, as uploading photos seems to work for me and others so I'm trying to see what could be the problem for you.

Best wishes,

Amy

I cant find any fault with it...in fact I love the ease at which you can upload to the competition. When uploading photos to your own galleries, there is a section of the form that displays the POTY categories with check boxes, so you can put any pic you feel has a place in the comp at the same time....genius

Maybe its a problem with your browser and/or security settings....I am running Explorer 8.

Sometimes if the server is running slow and I'm on here all that loads on screen is the PhotoRadar banner and a few menu items...but hitting "refresh" sorts it out.

Another area to check could be your broadband speed, if you have broadband.

I used to have similar probs with the old "dial-up" connection (not this site...I'm talking a few years back), but that was due to server time outs as the connection was so slow......

Solved Problem

Hi,

Thanks Amy and HighlandScenic for your replies. I was using Internet Explorer 7 browser whilst having the problems I described. I tried using Firefox and that solved the problem.

Thanks once again for your help.

Sorry, to be a pain but, I still can't figure out how to vote for pictures. I know how to comment on them, but can't find a button to click on to vote. Does making a comment count as a vote?
