CHAT - Weekly Comp Fri 16th to Sun 18th April 2010 - Birds and Bugs

Back to nature this weekend folks - get out and about and capture images of the only things likely to be flying in Europe this weekend - Birds or Bugs. Actually it doesn't have to be a flying bug - any bug (i.e. insect) will do. Preferably get them in their own environment though, no bringing them indoors and frying them under studio lighting.

(While you're out you might also want to get some skies without aircraft vapour trails in them!)

Anyway any bird or bug, macro, telephoto, close-up, far away, it's up to you. No restrictions on editing, but try and let people know what you've done.

Jerry, if you can get them to take their feathers off - you are a better man than I!

No, any shot of a bird or bug, flying or otherwise, will do.
Obviously getting something in flight requires more skill and your voting should possibly reflect this.

Sorry for the confusion with my quip about the flying.

Cheers, Sie

Don't ask that. I'll have to set up a bird table or something. And I don't have the time.

I learnt an important lesson today. 2 in 1 tile glue and grout ISN'T. Tried to grout with it after the DIY store was out of proper stuff. A very near disaster. Set back yet another day on finishing the kitchen.

It would certainly stick it together . And if the birds arrived quickly enough it would stick them to it too. Maybe it's not such a bad idea!
