Jessops - Interfit SXT3200 2 Head Kit

I use a Nikon D5000 - Started to get interested in still life photography, but lighting at times seems a bit of a problem especially when taking pics of glass objects - reflections all over the place. Some say need to get a decent flashgun as built in one not that good, and can get better results with flash to the side as opposed to head on.

Went to Jessops today, and although they were quite willing to sell me a Nikon Speedlight Flash unit, the guy suggested I would get better results from a Interfit SXT3200 2 Head Kit. Had not even thought about this, and I'm not convinced my wife would approve of all the stuff taking over the dining room for a day. Has anyone got any opionions one way or the other. The flash unit costs more than the kit.
