canon 100-400l IS question

Hi everyone just a quick question!
When using a monopod what setting should you have your IS on is it no2 or should I switch it off ?

On a monopod, you can leave IS on. If you are panning, then it should be Mode 2, otherwise mode 1.

On a tripod, you should turn it off as it is not tripod aware and can cause more vibrations than it cures.
