Do you mean on the rear LCD screen? And is it when you're viewing the settings menus?

Yes rear LCD screen Chris. They are noticeable when i switch the camera on and the card is empty of images there are ouite a lot of white dots scatterd about.I have a Giottos screen protector added i would not think that has any thing to do with the problem. Thanks

I doubt it's marks on the LCD protector. You can obviously check by taking it off and seeing if they're still there!

It's a bit odd. If you can take a photo with something else and upload it that would help. Is the screen on when you can see the marks? If so, can you see the marks when the camera is off. If the screen is on, what is it displaying. You say the card is empty but the camera will show the status screen normally. Can you see them on that?

You need to have a look through some of the menus and various screens and see if the spots are there all the time and if they're in the same place.

If they are it sounds like the screen might be faulty. Do you have access to another camera that you can use to take a picture of the screen?

It's not unusual to get dead pixels (which are black) or stuck pixels (which are white or RGB as the pixels colour(s) are stuck 'on') and all manufacturers have an allowance before they'll take action (but it's usually just a few). The reason is that it's very difficult to get 100% working (even sensors can/will get this problem)

It has been fine up till now Markulous 4000 shutter actions top whack. I asked in my local jessops shop about the problem with my screen, and he had never heard of this problem over the last couple of years of selling quite a lot of the 450Ds.Perhaps i should look online to see if i can find anybody with the same problem. My the way my camera is about 2years old.
