Sounds like a shoo-in for jinky. Diptych - picture one, plate full of Sunday lunch, picture two, empty plate.

As an aside, you won't be able to see the side panel advert that I've got courtesy of my French ISP (maybe Beauxreflets can see it too?) - it's for a phone app that does farts. At least it raised a smile here, even if I don't have a mobile 'phone.

Trying to capture a transition in one shot will probaby beat me - need a brainwave or two.

Have not seen the ad yet H - There was one for putting a stripper girlie on your mobile the other day - strange offers - I wonder whether the new mobiles provide more than just pictures and sound these days

No one, but I thought it was worth a bash, and hope the lush red in the nut tree bears some fruit

Hand held, ISO 200 - f.5 @ 1/1000 sec. - cropped a little for improved composition.

Well I'm in with a quickie this weekend as I'm quite busy, if I do get some time later this evening or early tomorrow I might have a go at something else and change it.

A quick one from me as also LOL.

Colour Transitions of an Orchid

Original colour image split into 4 crops and saved as different layers. Each layer (bar the original colour layer) then having various B+W toning effects applied to them. Frame created from a new blank document (white) having a black > white gradient applied followed by a text layer describing the toning effects applied. Resultant TIFF file size of 461MB - ouch. Unfortunately the combination of saving as a jpeg file of 5MB or less for this site as well as Windows XP not being colour managed means that the original colour image (left hand panel) may appear less saturated as the original.

Not quite as bad as you Mark but had to walk about a mile in deep snow tore my trousers on barbed wire to get this one. What is more remarkable there is no snow less than a mile away from here.
I have titled this one 'Slow transition from snow'.
