Blackbird

Just starting in bird photography and at the moment i am limited to our back garden, but i captured this Blackbird, who was quite willing to pose for me.

You've done well with the exposure on the feathers, and got a nice catch light in the eyes, but I don't think the square crop works, it doesn't have as much impact as I think a standard 3x2 landscape crop would (cropping into that image further, rather than keeping the original).

A very good composition, I agree a little trim off the top would help but its very nice, well done.

I posted the incorrect image, my other on has been cropped more or less as you have said, plus a small branch has been cloned out.







I hope you think this is better than the first one.

A big thanks Bob, as a relative beginner to bird photography, i found now i am getting use to my new Zuiko 70 to 300mm lens my images are improving
