Anybody going to Focus this year?

It's only a few weeks now until the Focus on Imaging exhibition takes place at the NEC, but who this year will be going. Who this year can afford to go? Who can't afford not to? And are there any noteable absences from the list of exhibitors this year who you would have liked to have seen there?

I'll be honest and say that I've never been to any of the Focus on Imaging exhibitions, so what am I missing? Is it the must see event of the calendar year for photographers or is it one to avoid?

I've got a couple of places booked; it'll be the first time I've been so I don't know who I'll possibly be missing out on, but there's a few stands I want to visit. I can't see me buying anything/much though, I'm more going for the experience and to see what I may have been missing for myself.

I'm planning on doing just the same, but I'm dissappointed that Olympus haven't got a stand this year (as yet) as I use one of their cameras. Which day have you got tickets for? I know Sunday is often the busiest and Wednesday is probably best for bagging a bargain late on.

We've booked as trade visitors, so I think I we can go any day, but we'll be there on Monday, 8th.

We'll probably make the attempt to get down there as it's a useful day to see what/where/why is going on - which day'll depend on commitments at the time

I`m probably going with a mate on the Monday and never been before so don`t know what to expect. Looking forward to the Nikon stand as they are using a picture of mine that won one of their in frame monthly comps to advertise the competition. Also hoping someone will offer me a D700 with a massive discount - well I can dream

I will have a lot of travels this year. I will be going in Paris and scheduled to go for some Asia trips as well.

I'm don't think I'm going this year. Last year I went and ended up with a new camera and I can't afford that this year! Also they've started charging to get in (it was free when you pre-registered online last year).

Which day is the best for attending and which days are best avoided?
