Nice one Terri - they'd match the Ferraris pretty well

I`m in late with a back up I took before disaster befell with my planned shot. Suffice to say I`ll be back in at some point to vote and tell you a story about the dangers of food, concussion and the state of the health service after 24 hours under observation. Have to go for now as not allowed on here

Just a quick note to Cutter.

One of the skills it's worth developing is looking at other peoples shots which interest you, and trying to work out for yourself how they have been taken, of course on forums like this you can ask people and see how close you are, but one day you will see an image you wish to recreate, and you might not even know who the photographer is.

The lack of specular highlights tell you that the light source has been a large one, not a flash head. The way the light falls across the cars shows the light source is high and to the left, and a little in front of the cars.

Because of the large light source a black background would have to be used (or post processed), and the fact it is so very black indicates that some post processing via levels has probably be done.

Get well soon Paul. At least a gravestone didn't fall on you!

Sorry to hear about your accident Paul - looking forward to reading the gory details later.

Your picture actually made me laugh out loud - 'Gravestones could cause death'. This is one of the funniest signs I have ever seen. Bl**dy hilarious. I thought that death usually caused gravestones . .

This tickled me today too, in a scary kind of a way: Superbowl advert

In the meantime I had to vote for Terri's shoes.
