So these go-gos toys are back in fashion again, just when I had stopped tripping over them all the time (sigh).

Of course, but only for medicinal purposes I might add, I've got a severe case of man flu at the moment

Here's mine :

Ferrari Collection

In another life (i.e. when I still felt the need to go to work ) Ferrari was one of my customers - I used to work for a brake manufacturer. At that time (about 20 years ago ) these models could only be bought in the Ferrari shop in Maranello. I believe now they're available in petrol stations all over the place. I actually still have a four piston aluminium brake caliper which was fitted on the Testarossa. Go figure

Just wondering what all these collections say about us? perhaps with me and my scissors : i love my work and have a sharp sense of humour: forseti perhaps loves her child hood and has fond memories: andy could be ,loves family and seeing people grow: terrek: obviousley shoe fetish. Flake: mybe likes order and everythng in its place, and even control.hinfrance likes a variety in life (maybe)

If you would like anymore analagy call gypsy rose cutter

Thanks Mark !
The background is black - I have some sheets of black foam (white as well ) which I sometimes use, but this one was a black fleece blanket. I use the blanket as a backdrop for portraits too - just stick it to the wall with tape.

The light is natural, I took the picture during the day yesterday in our conservatory (which is slowly turing into a studio ). I used my 50mm 1.8, f9 1/20 sek. ISO 320.

To make the black even blacker I used the black pipette in levels - I think that what's it's called in english. Actually I use Nikon Capture more than PS if I'm not wanting to do anything fancy. There it's called "Schwarzkontollpunkt" - black control point ... Forseti - I need help with the translation !

Then I just go over it with the eraser to get rid of any bits of lint or whatever.

Hope that helps

I must admit I did enjoy my work although it doesn't sound very exciting - selling brakes to Italian and then later Japanese car manufactuers. But it wasn't sooooo fulfilling, and I still left at 50. Since then I've been collecting dogs more than anything
