HDR critique needed..

Hi there, I'm not too worried about the subject of this image, but I am interested in what you think about the HDR conversion that I've carried out..I'm trying to fine tune the method...

Thanks a lot,

Jony

The photo seems to have a lot of DR and look natural.

It depends on what effect you're going for. I quite like it, although it's heavier than I usually process my HDR shots.

I have to say I disagree with dpower though, it's may contain lots of DR but not enough. You've got clipped highlights (and shadows but that's not really an issue) which to me defeats the object of increasing the dynamic range.

Thanks for the review... can you help me figure out what I need to do to improve the technique?? The highlights (if you mean the poster beside the wardrobe) are clipped because there was a light shining very brightly on it... is it possible to get the detail in that case? This photo is a combination of 13 photos.. the most underexposed had plenty of highlight detail according to the histogram and the most overexposed photo had plenty of detail in the shadows... I dont' know how else to improve, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, it's a tricky one. What's your exposure range? I'm guessing a -6 to +6 in 1 EV steps (to get 13 different files).

Are the highlights clipped in the most under exposed shot. If so, that's your problem. If they're not then it's going to be something you need to address in the DR compression stages but I can't specifically say what!
