I'm off to Barcelona : F1 Testing day 3 of 4

I am going with a mate to take some pictures at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona on Sat 27th Feb.
Fly out at 0735 arrive 1035, collect hire car, about 40 min drive to circuit and then spend rest of day at circuit, flight back to London at 2025.

Can't wait new F1 cars, some new teams & drivers (Schumacher) should be a great day out!!

Thanks Gaz
Had a look at your gallery and note you took a number of really good actions shots in the rain, I have Canon 40D and use a Canon EF 70-200 F2.8L IS USM with x 2 extender I know the booklets state water sealed do what equipment do you use and how do you keep it dry in wet conditions? I have used a large freezer bag once but not with great success

Then again I have used a freezer bag too with just as much success

Cheers Peter.
I only uploaded them shots to add to the Action Sequences thread. They are a bit blurred.
I use a EOS 400D and a EOS 40D with a Sigma 170-500 and a Tamron SP 70-200 f2.8.
To keep it all dry i use a shammy, a carrier bag or a tree...lol...

Hi Chris I am an x airline employee and can therefore "afford" to fly believe it or not the airport tax is £67.40 with the return tricket costing £20,Car hire for the day £30 (cheaper than a taxi) and as we are sharing(I pay £15) entry fee to the circuit £10, about £20 for lunch (breakie on plane) so just over £120 for the day I get two hits, I love F1 as a sport so will get see new cars, new drivers and I get to take photos as well!!
Cheers Peter

Sounds like a great deal - I'm obviously in the wrong job!

I'm looking forward to seeing the pics as I've not seen or heard that much about the new cars this year (although they're being officially shown off at the moment).
