These are nice shots, well done. I especially like the first one of Truk Lagoon, the colours are beautiful. In the second one I'm not as keen on the processing as the beach and tree looks too sharp and contrasty for my taste but its really well composed and I prefer the slightly taller format you've used.

On a side note, they don't look like HDRs to me though, they look like DRIs. Correct me if I'm wrong!

Thumbs down Linking GALLERY and FORUMS - still needing ATTENTION

The FAQ are indeed NOT clear - but it is the antiquated system of making the linkage that is difficult to explain as well as operate - Chris-p has made a valiant attempt at the former.

On the two posted photographs dpower - I really like the 2nd shot - a real unique image - the 1st is a reasonable image - but not got the originality exhibited by the 2nd one.

I was in the process of adding the two panoramas to this thread to assist you dpower - thankfully Chris-p beat me to it - saved me the tedious task - yet again.

This laborious task has got to be improved - it was promised months ago - Chris-p must be getting fed up having to assist new members with making the link between GALLERIES and FORUM THREADS - I certainly am loosing interest in doing same - it is surely high time that the Admin get a grip - and have their software engineers introduce a much easier method of linking the two databases - the one that Chris-p, myself and some other members have had to repeatedly employ is a total bind.

So how about it Admin - let's see some of the promised progress in this department - and quickly - or else you will be the only ones using the site.

The photos were processed from D700 RAW files with Photomatrix Pro ans stitched with Autopano. I was trying for a more natural look rather than the cartoon looking HDR.
Thanks for commenting.

Sadly, the FAQ is terrible. I've had "discussions" with some of the admins about it and apparently it's going to "be updated". We'll see!

If these are HDR I'm very interested in how you got the waves to overlay perfectly from more than one exposure? Shooting more than one frame for HDR means you'd expect to get some movement or blur in the shot around the waves.

It's very interesting, I'll have to give it a go as whenever I've done HDRs of the sea I have to correct for movement in the water.

How individual shots did you take for each image?
