Can I ask how you go about dealing with long exposure noise issues? In camera reduction or post capture?

I've not had to use noise reduction in camera or post, I'm lucky enough to own a 5d mkII, so that helps, its sensor is great for its lack of noise. also I generally shoot at iso 100 so that helps and I have been told (whether it's an actual factor or not i don't know) that due to it being -6 on the times i went out that this might have helped keep the sensor cool and the noise down, all i know is that 2 layers of clothes weren't enough to keep me warm!
and thanks for the compliments too!
