Congratulations oggalily I assume you won being the first to post! Great shot and well thought out, in fact they were both worthy winners.
My vote went to forseti great subject made me laugh and all things round. so many to choose from my vote could have gone to ronbpix for his (it made me smile) or seismith for the bath matt, brilliant imagination from both.

Well done everyone.

PS MY BUBBLE HAS BURST

Well done oggalily and SieSmith. I don`t think we play first to post Cutter - hence the number of previous joint winners. We discussed it but most agreed joint winners if it happened.
So it`s up to you two to share the chores of picking a topic and setting the poll between you.
Both great shots. As you can see on the poll I went for Sie`s - just loved the depth and abstract natuire from an everyday object - but it was a very narrow decision over my 2nd favourite which was ogga`s just ahead of HinFrances for me. A great range of shots that really brought in the numbers and showed variety.

Reviews:
angi:Nice idea with the juxtaposition of ipod and LPs but the ipod was the focal point being green and not round for me. Others obviously so nut lacking colour or impact. At least yours was in better focus than mine. We were in the "nul points" section together here. better luck next week
chris-p - really liked this one. Nice colour , shapes and idea and surprised you did not get a vote or two as it fitted the brief well. Just in a large field of good entries you lost out for maybe lack of visual impact colourwise ? I don`t know.
Couldn`t understand the low voting figures given the number of entrants and a few votes from non-contributors. Seems not all wanted to vote or maybe there were access issues? I know I have trouble every time I try to upload a picture and have to log in at least twice to get through.
Well done all on a bumper week and well done Carol - a real baptism of fire with all that lot to cope with.

Well done to Oggalily and SieSmith both photos were worthy of the win.

My vote went to Wattsy, I found it really bright and sharp and really pleasing. But I've got to say is was a damn hard choice this week, there were so many excellent entries.

Top and Bottoms

Sarasocke - a really crisp, sharp image that captured loads of detail, you've really got the hang of the Tamron 90mm.. For me the image seems to loose a bit of impact on the right hand side, maybe I like red buttons??
HinFrance - a really nice take on the theme and it was good to see how you achieved it. You've captured the colours really well and it's all very sharp, I would have expected it to get more votes.

Congratulations oggalily and Sie. Both nice shots, although the unusual lighting and effect in 'pastel like' colours took my vote.

Reviews
Above, Jerry WLS, Beer O'clock – Nice composition lines with an interesting softness associated with Aluminium.
Below, MPelley : Round wheels awaiting their return to earth – A nicely timed shot that nearly got my vote.

Thank you for your vote Forseti - Your photo made me smile and added to the tough job of just selecting one.

Well done Oggalily and SieSmith - excellent photos both and a deserved win!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I just love the imagination shown in these competitions.
I voted for Bobs' car bits, a very clever take and a pin sharp image. There were so many that I really liked tho - Del's cannonball for instance, looks like something from a shipwreck under the sea. Then Andy's big breakfast, Miss Piggy, Round Wheels etc etc. So many excellent entries.

Above : oil droplets. An excellent image, may be just lacking that bit of ooomph to get the votes.

Below : gel balls. Interesting idea, could maybe have been a tack sharper.

I really enjoyed it this week, even though the poll was a bit long. I hope someone (Amy ???) could help us on the title change problem.
It was a pity that there weren't more votes overall. There were actually only three who had not entered themselves. What happened to robincastle@btinternet.com ? Don't forget to vote next time Robin!

Congrats! Another tie!

Above:
Jinky: Blue Moon
I like the concept in this shot, it's a really good and novel idea. For me it doesn't quite work as well as it could because the moon looks a little soft. The colour is lovely though and I like the reflection in the water as well.

Below:
Sarasocke: Round Buttons
Best shot of the competition for me. I was torn for my vote between this and Sie's bathmat shot but the more I look at this shot the more I see about it that I like. It's really well lit, it's perfectly focused and pin sharp, the colour is very real and... I love the sqaure crop. But it's the texture that I like the most - it's almost like you could pick them off the screen.

A great subject thanks made clear by the number of entries.

Above and below were Kiwi and Tomato......for me the kiwi would have been better if it was not just a slice I.e show some depth and skin texture.

Tomato.......just a little too soft for me .

I went for Bob's Saab composite as it's something I nearly tried and owning a MINI it would have worked .....(could see this in a brochure........ and also a Saab fan as drove Dad's a lot )
It was a close call with the bath mat which also really appealed to me .

Thanks all for the comments and thanks to those who voted for me. Congrats Sie on the joint win (check your PMs for some ideas for the next comp).

I thought the quality was high this week and there were several quality entries (such as Cutter's) that didn't do as well as I expected in the poll. I went for reggy's moon shot as I am a sucker for these. I have tried the same many times and never gotten anything so clear and crisp.

Anyway on to my up and down reviews:

flake - Money makes the world go round - an interesting take on the theme with excellent post-processing to create the unobtrusive background and drop shadow. However it didn't particularly say "round" to me - perhaps more emphasis on the "roundness" of the coins or having the map be round, or in fact a globe, may have worked better.

bsmith - round bits in my car - clever idea and well executed. It has a real pop art feel to it. Only minor crits are some chromatic aberration on the large numbered dial (heater?), and I although I like the "self portrait" in the upper right corner, it detracts a little from the pure "mechanical" feel of the composition. Good work.

Well done oggalily and SieSmith both very nice shots, I voted for mattwilson's bubbles I thought it was a very professional looking image I know bubbles float at random so the crop and shot used was even harder to get right.

ABOVE: oggalilly solaris, an excellent image with great texture and loads of "round" in it for sure, the colour put me off somehow otherwise a super shot as seen by the votes well done oggalilly.

BELOW: SieSmith bathmat, Trust me to have the winners above and below. A super and very original composition the DOF and white background work very well, its an interesting image that I found myself looking at a lot as the shapes created are unusual and random so there is a lot to take in, well done Sie.
