As soon as I saw "Round" I knew another visit to the scrapyard was on the cards. I found this cannon-ball thing amonst some oil drums and thought it looked very interesting with the frost still on it. However, the oil drums looked rather uninteresting and so I snapped some swarf to use for textures. I converted the ball to monochrome using a blue tint, but left the swarf texture in colour. I overlaid the texture, used opacity of 63% and blended with 'multiply'. I had originally intended to only use a texture on the oildrums and pipes but decided to leave it on the whole image as I liked the interaction with the frost patterns and it was way easier than trying to cut the pre-textured ball and repaste it onto the textured image.

One big, fat and round accessory to my iPod nano that I obtained during a recent visit to Italy. When she's (yes it is a she - I looked) is connected to the mains the mouth flashes a horrible green and the left and right ears are the volume controls. It's got a wonderful sound as well which of course is a bonus. More or less straight out of the camera (Canon SX1 IS), cropped, WB adjusted and a bit of clarity added in LR - that's about it due to time restraints this weekeend. But nobody can say that it doesn't fit the topic - there's not an unround surface anywhere to be seen.

I`m in danger of not getting one together this weekend unless I get out tomorrow. Like others I was clicking the moon last night and failing to get Mars showing up which had been flagged up. Not as impressive a sight as i thought it would be and met with blank looks when I kept saying "That`s Mars there!" - most thought it was an aircraft light!

Loving that pig Forseti - did you go to market to market to buy it?
Got to add to the musical enjoyment and must be some puns to do but a blank at the moment. Entries on a postcard

Ah got one - hope you use it a lot and didn`t buy a pig in a poke - never understood that saying

Well with the world economic forum taking place in Davos I thought I'd pile all my pennies on there !

Not saying how the photos done because it would take an age, but there's 5 layers and 3 masks, plus about three hours gone into making it. (It's supposed to look 3D)

Some super entries so far !

I'm having problems with lighting myself, I'll have to try again tomorrow during the day.

Single shot, ISO400, f/3.2 at 1/20 sec, lit by the window behind camera and 12 volt 20 Watt Dichroic light fitting overhead ( small edit to remove a brand name and a little noise) - And no, I failed to crack it
