Chat Thread "Round" Weekend 29-31.1.10

OK, here we go

"Round" - round shape : a shape that is curved and without sharp angles.
So anything which doesn't have sharp corners and is nicely round - Paul, no comments please !

In addition to the rules below, it would be great if you could add a short description with your entries of how you achieved your shot.

1. To be valid images must be taken on the Fri, Sat, Sun of the competition, that is during Friday, Saturday and Sunday in your time zone. ALL of the elements of any composite images or montages must be taken during the weekend competition window.

2. Anyone can take part in the competition and anyone can and should vote, not just the competition entrants

3. There are no limits Post processing. There is no restriction on equipment that can be used.

4. Images submitted after 12:00 UK time on the Monday may not be included as the poll thread must be set up. The poll runs for 2 days from the posting of the poll so that it generally ends mid day Wednesday.

5. The winner must set the new topic before Friday to give entrants time to think of ideas and get ready for the shoot, the competition starts on Friday, no images taken before that time are valid and will not be included in the poll.

6. The winner is then responsible for starting the Chat thread, Entry thread, and setting and managing the poll

7. Voters may not vote on their own image, the poll is set as open so you can see who appreciated your work.

If I've forgotten anything, just yell

No comments - I was thinking old last week, round this week - put the two together and it`s self portrait time for me again!

Limitless topic so we should see lots of entries this week - well done Carol. Thinking hat on!

More circular/spherical, doesn't have to be a full circle/sphere tho.

Sorry if it was ambiguous.

Sure !

You can interpret this really any way you wish - an apple tree with apples for instance (not that we have any around here at the moment, but our Australian members might ), or a roundabout with traffic, or a wedding ring, or halo, or even the back of a bald head.

Congrats on winning the comp Carol really a splendid photograph.

I remember this one from the DC Mag, only because I entered this one below. Never got
any votes but it did make everyone smile.

Jim.
