Spambot box for commenting

Hi everyone,

As some of our more beady eyed readers will no doubt be aware, we have been having a couple of problems with a spammer hitting the site over the past few days.

As a temporary measure we have unfortunately had to reinstate the old spambot box while we investigate what we can do about the spammer.

Please rest assured that this is only a temporary measure while we work to permanently get rid of the offending member, and something we are obviously keen to remove as quickly as possible.

I just posted a comment using the spambot box - the comment went through OK but also got a red message saying
I'm sorry, the words didn't match. Please try again.
Invalid CAPTCHA token.
