Help-lens suggestions!

Ok I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a good next lens purchase!

I have a canon 400D and the following lenses:

Kit 18-55mm (old one) hardly ever use this
Canon 60mm macro-love this one!
Canon 15mm f2.8 fisheye-my current favourite but the distortion gets a bit much in too many shots!
Canon 70-200mm f4L

I'm not bothered about make of lens (the fisheye and 70-200 were both second hand bargains!)

I am looking for a lens (lenses) to use when on holiday in Tuscany for landscapes and also around towns for architecture/buildings.

Also any other suggestions of accessories for landscapes/buildings (I have a decent tripod and polarizing filter but that's it!)

Depending on your budget you could upgrade your kit lens and go for the EF S 17-55 2.8. IS USM I think on your 400d that would give you the equivalent to 27mm - 88mm in 35mm terms. You could easily use this for landscapes and general photography whilst on holiday.

Or look at the Sigma version.

Second vote for the Canon 17-55 2.8. It's a top quality lens, but alas not cheap!

if you like the fisheye then a good but less extreme wide angle is the Sigma 10 to 20.

wide angle distortion is not bad at all.

if I could afford it then it would be Canon's own wife angle zoom.

I started with canon 18 to 200 it's ok as a leave it on travel lens but quality wise not that brilliant at the extremes.

The difference the sigma has made is great and I find myself using it a lot .

Wish I had aquired it before a trip to York where I found I could not the shots I wanted of both interior and exterior of buildings.

it's a well made sharp lens that gets consistently good reviews.

Final thought you may be lucky and get a bit of sun .........graduated neutral density filters may be an idea for landscapes.
