Best lens For holiday,Help!?

Hi guys,

long time no post, been in the mix of things,
got a new camera for my christmas, cannon 500d (gotta love mum and dad)
anyway,im going on holiday end of july to wales, and im not sure what lenses to hire or borow.

i want something for landscape so im aware i should take a wide angle(maybe a fisheye or something?)
But i also want a telephoto,so was thinking maybe a Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS.

any other suggestions?everything considered and all help is appreciated greatly.

John

If you are just starting then the 18 200 is great .I bought it as my starter lens.A wide zoom is never going to give you the ultimate quality because of it's extremes .What it will give you is one lens that stays on the camera is not too big and heavy and is very versatile.

Of it's type it gets good reviews .Focussing is quickand it will be better than came with the camera.

In conclusion go for it I think you will be pleased .
