Spyder3 / Colormunki on LCD TV

Hi all,

I use my PC connected to my 37" Toshiba 1080p LCD TV

I know the colours are a little off on it (especially having view some of my photos online on a different monitor), so was wondering whether a Spyder3 or similar colour-calibration tool would work?

I know LCD TVs don't have anywhere near the contrast ratio of a proper PC LCD monitor, but for colour tones/casts will a Spyder still work?

What ever you use to calibrate will do the best it can given the colour gamut of the monitor. The colour profile is stored on the PC so if you use it as a TV then the calibration won't be used. You might mant to a little research as to how to set the TV up best, although that might not be what you want for watching TV.
