Feedback?

Just wondering what you all think of my latest HDR and Landscape photos I recently took? Thanx!

Hi C2funk, welcome to the forums. I would suggest that you post the images in the thread (like this...)

Rocky Mountain Splendor

I like this shot a lot - it's really nicely composed and not over processed. It's a shame that their is still some highlight clipping around the sun (which makes me think you've used the auto-bracketing feature on your camera rather than doing it manually and capturing all the detail). For an HDR I'd also expect to see more detail in the shadows of the trees as well.

Vik Beach

This is a single file that you've over and under exposed to create a DRI (it's not HDR) and it's a pretty good one at that. Again, I like the composition and the lighting but I'd like the horizon to be straight and I'd like to remove the halo around the rock edges against the sky.
Otherwise the colour in the rocks is good and I love the moody atmosphere.

Thank you Chris! First try at the bracketing and merging )
How did you get the photos into the thread? I tried several times, but it wouldn't load?

Generally you've done a good job processing the shots. Have a look at my HDR hints & tips page (here)

To get the pictures into the thread you need to go to them in the gallery and open up the large version by clicking on the magnifying glass icon above the image. Right click on the enlarged photo and choose properties and copy the address or url. Then paste it in using the following formatting...

Basically you need to put (just don't have any spaces in it!)

Great tips Chris! Thanks again. Also just wanted to note that the Rocky Mountain Spledor picture isn't an HDR. This was one shot and a little processing to remove the lens flare.
