Hi there, the weather is really against me and it has taken my land line! An underground line that I cannot repair until middle of next week as I have to get new cables to replace old and dig it all in.!!

I hope Paul or Bob can do the poll thread for me - Thank you -

I have managed to enter and post this thread on a friend's computer - Before I trek back to home.

I hope no one feels let down and the poll gets posted on time

Well I've got an entry in but it's not what I had in mind, I was waiting for today to go down to the river with the 10cm of fresh snow that the weather man predicted for us. But alas all we've got is rain and the snow that is around is disappearing faster than a politician at the mention of expenses..............

I hope my entry is close enough to this weeks subject to be included, if not leave it out of the poll.

Cheers
Mike.

Just posted my watering cans, but I STILL cannot for the life of me get a picture out of the PR gallery which is clickable to the large version. I think I may give up and either stick to the smaller vesion or post from flickr. For this week I shall leave it as it is. *grmmmpf*

Having got home again the tempoary / emergency repair with extension leads (over 45 metres) done at lunch time is giving intermitant access - But I cannot rely on it working 100% as it just keeps cutting as I write.

I will try and make my entry enlargable if I can

I finally found some icicles, put a ladder up in the fading light yesterday, and felt quite pleased to capture two droplets falling in unison (Just wish I did not have the telephone line problem stopping me using the camera today).

Hope someone can do the Poll for me ?

Hope your problem clears up soon Andy it is pretty bad over here too. Have to make do with photo taken this morning, went out in the afternoon just to discover I had left my CF card connected to the computer.

This is Glendentan Falls Bridge of Weir which when the weather is very cold turns into an ice wall.

Jim.

We were promised snow flurries and icy rain here,
so i geared myself up in the warmest i could find, "not usually any kind of need for cold weather clothes here in Florida" but alas the rain did not come, nor did the snow and i was left with a dry field, and the usual boring non iced over lakes/ponds etc etc.... So thankfully i did take some pre-emptive shower pics, just in case i didnt get my forecasted weather and thats what i ended up submitting... however its been below freezing here, late at night, but hasn't stayed there long enough to hold its icy love, and freeze anything up.. if only i lived about 2 hours north of where I am, As they got all the love...
Everyones pictures are amazing, and as much as i despise the cold, snow and ice etc (I'm a hot weather girl - Myself and the cold don't get along) it is truly beautiful in pictures...
Good Luck everyone

Just seen your pleas for help Andy through internet problems which explain why you did not respond to my PMs re: aids for poll set up.

I am happy to set the poll up best I can using clickable links wherever possible - unless someone else wnats to? All seem Ok except the entry of Perpicador who posts a ink to what is a video of different images with a musical backing track that were uploaded to the said site in July 2009. I have PM`d Perspicador to explain why the entry does not meet the terms of the weekend comp by being multiple images not taken over the weekend time frame.

I`ll aim to start the poll shortly after the noon deadline today and close off the entry thread at noon - so get those last minute entries in now.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know why some photos in the comp from the PR gallery are clickable to a large version, and some just direct to the same size as posted (like mine) ?

If I don't get to understand this problem this week, I shall really go back to just using flickr. I copied the code from two weeks ago, when my photo was entered correctly by .. (? - sorry don't remember who it was ), but this week it didn't work.

It seems that so many people are having problems

Hi Sarasocke,

Your entry in the entries thread clicks to a bigger version when I click on it.

It may load up as small to fit on your screen automatically (I know Firefox and IE does this) but a magnifying glass pops up which when clicked will show you the image in its original size.

Hope that helps,

Amy
