No problems with the weather here. Low 30's, blue sky and a thunderstorm yesterday. My son is currently in London on holiday and has done all the clichéd things you do when you have your first experience of snow.

@phamtom, I'm sorry, but the image you have posted is not eligible, images must be taken over the weekend, in your time zone IE Sat 00:00 to Sun 23:59:59... your image is a beautie but the date on flickr is May26th 2009.

You still have a day to find something, but it its a short time scale challenge, sorry.

Well it's snaowing harder than ever now and Manchester Airport has been closed. I went out onto the street with the camera, but the snow is comming down so fast you can barely see through it, and it's so dark the street lights are comming on.

Last night was lovely watching it, especially when the sky cleared and light levels were quite good, especially considering it was night! I spent the evening sat in front of a log fire with a glass of wine. Travel is impossible (unless you're really stupid or desperate), so I'm staying in trying to keep warm!

Really icy and grey here and -1 in Leeds. Sun comes out every now and again and looks lovely but I have stuck with the images I had and changed my mind on which one to enter. Now to watch Newcastle play the Smoggies on TV and then a tea party to go to at 4, if we can get there ok. Went to buy our Christmas tree at usual place today and after a tricky journey found that they had been unable to deliver due to icy roads!!! Short panic until we walked to a local place and got a bit of a titchy one so dressing it now to the strains of Christmas tunes in time honoured tradition.

Most of the snow gone here and slush everywhere - Logs to cut and a Carol service to attend, so I think I will be too busy to do more photography this weekend - Tree up and now need to search the loft for the box of decorations (hoping the lights work this year)!!

We don't bother with a tree - no kids but two dogs and two cats - not such a good idea. Plenty of other pretty stuff tho. The Germans don't put up their trees until Christmas Eve, which I always think is a big waste - they're only there for about 10 days then they're got rid of.
Starting snowing again, for once the weather forecast was correct, we took heed and went for our main walk of the day this morning. Temperature is now soaring at about -5°.
So I'm still progressing with the sitting room/standard lamp combo for the weekend's photo.

I went for a long walk to find something reflective and came back with a frozen puddle shot, I give in, unless I can think of something very quickly.

Here in Austria too, the temperature continues to climb - it must be all of minus 6 now, but at least the sun is shining. Yesterday's blizzard combined with a tad of Siberian wind was not good for photography. We ventured out today and if this week's theme had been camera shake due to cold, I'd have been in with a very good chance of winning. However, after almost giving up, I found a highly reflective obliging Christmas bauble in a shop window.

I decided mine once again would fall outside the topic so asked Hermie if she would sit in front of the window for me, I know its old hat, but I'm stuck between an ice cube and a snow drift .

Some interesting entries appearing now
