Excellent - I just knew that sooner or later I'd find a reason to justify ordering this camera. Snow is imminent and so to is the post lady which just leaves me to find those woolly socks.

I must admit to considering the 1D MkIV as a companion to the 5D MkII with the new AF system and very very high Iso performance it seems to be an amazing piece of kit. I do have some issues about the weight of the 1D series bodies though, I can manage a 5D but the 1D needs someone with big hairy mitts!!

I have seen a video of Canon testing cameras which included being set fire too, dropped into water as well as being chucked inti the freezer and not just Hi end stuff
