Green tinge

I've just seen a set of prints of some black and white shots that seem to have a greenish tinge to them instead of being true black and white.

I did the conversion to b&w using cs3 and everything looks good on the monitor (which is calibrated using huey pro). The shots were then taken by the person I did the conversion for to Asda for processing.

The only other set of b&w prints I have had done was by photobox, these also seemed to have this green tinge to them.

The colour shots all appear to be fine.

Any ideas anybody?

Thanks
Paul C

The printer could be working to a different colour profile .In these days of the customer being right I would request they have another go at doing them.

I have this problem if I print at home but I've had some prints done by ColorWorld Imaging and they've been fine. I would suggest you get in touch with the printers and ask if they colour corrected the prints?

I had the same issue with a black and white shot whiich was printed in a recent Leeds Guide - the Armouries shot for the wekend comp a few weeks back. It printed up decidedly with a green tint and on that occasion they admitted there had been limited colour correction used.

Hi! thanks for the replies, so it looks like a problem with the people doing to the processing then. I have seen one of my shots done on a home printer which came out fine.
