CHAT "MOTION" Weekend Competitiion 12th/13th December 2009

This weekend Bob and me decided your challenge is to show us some MOTION - get a real sense of action and movement into your image that makes us feel we are there in the thick of the action.
Anything goes in editing but ALL the elements of the picture must be taken over the weekend of
12th and 13th December 2009. You will then have until midday GMT on Monday 14th December to post your entry to the entries thread which can be found here:

If anyone wants to look at a really good resource that you can get sent by email with regular tips I would recommend Darren Rowse - a great blog you can subscribe to. Here is one of his pieces on panning linked to this weekends challenge.

Look forward to lots of entries.

Good challenge this week. It's easy to come up with loads of ideas but it's going to be hard to get a really good shot I think!

I don't know if I'm going to manage an entry this weekend, I'll certainly try to get one in, but the first one certainly won't be from me!

It won't be me either - Mrs H and little Miss H are in full Christmas preparation mode - the entire weekend is likely to be full of putting up the tree, lights, decorations and possibly even present wrapping.

I hope to still be able to contribute though.

I was wondering, this site accepts video clips now? Is a small time lapse of a present being wrapped or an artificial tree being put up acceptable as an entry?

In my mind no flake. For me the spirit of this competition is that it is single images and things liek triptychs etc are sen as one overall image.. Not sure what the rules specifically say but I don`t think anyone intended it as a video comp but rather one image - whether edited or composite. But that`s just my opinion - what do others feel?

Yup I agree - single or composite images and not video - I have not had time yet this WE and tomorrow looks pretty busy too, so I may not manage an entry - but we will see how things go.
