Hi Kevin

The first picture (the Chilis in Oil) has great colour and is lovely and sharp but it is a little unbalanced in my opinion. The chili draws the eye up the picture from the bottom left but the berry (or seed pod if that's what it is) tries to draw the eye over to the right hand side.
Effectively the eye starts at the bottom left, gets half way up the chili and is hijacked!
I love the bubble as it shows they are in oil and it's a really nice shot

The second one (Bulldog Clip) is (again) nice and sharp and has good DoF. For me the lighting is a little harsh. Was it taken with a flash? Otherwise good colour and detail and an unusual macro subject.
