Hi Jinky,

I've gone in and edited your post for you.

All the images should now be clickable to either the PhotoRadar gallery page they can be found on or the Flickr link where they came from.

Not sure what that first image wasn't showing up, but I just inserted it again for you and it now seems to be working ok.

Best of luck to everyone who's entered!

Thanks,

Amy

Thanks for that Amy. Any chance of you putting how it was done on FAQ thread for next person?
The first one Andy had tried to do some editing on not realising it afected the fact that the original he worked on was linked to this thread. He was going to leave it as was but that`s fine.

Still a day to cast your vote everyone

Hi Jinky,

I've added it to the PhotoRadar FAQ - even included a handy picture!

Can you check this and see if it makes sense to you...

Thanks,

Amy

Hi Amy.
Yes that makes sense to me. I just tried a post where I put an image from PR into a thread and then linked it to the same larger image in flcikr enabling it to be clicked to go large.

Just two questions:

1. Is it not possible to put an image into PR and link to the photo in a way that it can be seen on the thread at medium but clicked to go large? It does seem silly to use flickr for larger image facility for a PR weekly comp in some ways - although it does work and I can do that,

2. The other issue is how the person setting the poll can then copy clickable entries across to the poll thread. I used the image icon and copy shortcut method this week and whilst the majority had entered clickable entries none of them transferred as such - just a straight medium sized image. Person setting the poll might not have time / access to flickr accounts etc to set it up in the way you describe. I am guessing you sourced the images and did method you suggested on FAQ to make them clickable.

The only thing in your decription that might not be clear to someone even less knowledgeable than me (there must be some about ) is why they would want to link it to another image - might be worth saying eg a larger version of the picture
Thanks for all your help

Hi jinky

1. If you want to make it clickable straight through to the large image, then you can just the same link as the link to you used to place the image itself (i.e. right click copy location).

2. I didn't source the images, just took the link straight from the image code and made that a link. As far as I can tell this would be the only way to do it. So just to clarify - someone enters their image using the right click & copy location method, or using Flickr just copy and paste the link from the img code.

Like so:{URL}HTTP://whereveryourimageiskept.com{IMG}http://whereveryourimageiskept.com{/IMG}{/URL} so as you see you're just copying and pasting exactly the url from one place to another.

Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Amy
