WEX taking the proverbial?

I just received the latest flier from WEx promising cheap prices for their clear out to make way for Xmas stock (bit late isn't it), thought I'd take a look to see if there was anything worth looking at. Let me save you the trouble - there isn't unless you like being ripped off!

Examples
Nikon D3 returned to Nikon & checked (usually means a customer return) £2750 ! I could buy a new one for that! Calumet offered me one last week for £2000 !

4x Sigma 50mm f/1.4 (is there a problem with these?) prices ranging from £280 - £305 I can buy a new one for £290 (one stop digital)

Canon 100mm Macro £385 missing case & lens hood ! available perfect for £413

Too little time to go through them all but non of the prices are what I'd call a bargain!

Um, careful about your post titles Flake unless you are in fact referring to WEX which I feel sure you're not lol. The reason I say that is because there is in fact a company over here in Germany called WEX cameras which are related to Warehouseexpress in the UK. Now which one of these companies is the daughter and which is the mother I'll leave others to work out. I sent WEX (yes the one in Germany) an email earlier today asking whether if I placed an order from them (yes the 7D is under consideration) they could also supply manuals in the English language. I like copies of the manuals in both the German and English languages when the time comes to sell the camera(s) via Fleebay. This is part of the reply that I received:

"thank you for your request with WEX Cameras. All products sold from us are being shipped to Warehouse Express...."

Now from this I am inferring that the stock that Warehouseexpress is holding is in fact supplied from WEX in Germany. I wonder if perhaps this would account for some of their pricing?
