2 open your original image in your gallery, you see a magnifying glass icon to top right of it, right click that and select properties, copy the url you see there. Go to your entry window, highlight the code created when you inserted the image, click on the link icon and paste the code you copied from your gallery full size image properties.

It sounds complicated but in fact its only a few clicks and copies.

I've just done it to my Robert Burns image. Oh! you click the image to make it full size once you open it to scrutinise it.

I have just done as you detail and it works in the Entries thread - but has not tranfered, so that the image can be enlarged in the Poll thread - I was chopping and changing in a busy weekend, so I'm not that worried either way. I just enjoy the challenge and fun of working in a very limited time span with the family rushing around providing plenty of distractions!

So to get the clickable images this week I tried two things. First was to open another browser with the entries thread, then right click on each image and first click "copy image location" and use this in conjunction with the "mountain button". I then right clicked on those that had links and clicked "copy link location", selected the link in the poll thread and clicked the "link" button (globe and chain).

But I got bored of this quickly.

So I then tried switching editor modes (that "A/A" button in the upper right corner when in in advanced posting mode) and dragged and dropped from the entries thread to the poll post. This was a lot easier BUT all images were showing up at their original size on both the editing box and the preview. I wasn't sure if they would resize when I actually posted the thread, and in the event they did resize. So I would advise this approach going forward.

I only included links where people had done this in the entries thread - I didn't go hunting down their galleries, I'm a busy man. Well I am at noon when my stomach is growling whilst posting a poll.

Personally when I post I like to include a link to the "home page" for the image to allow people to leave comments (not that it is working so far - my gallery has tumbleweeds blowing through).

Hope this is helpful.

That`s useful oggalily. So really like the old dcmag days you are effectively just copying and pasting using that advabced button. Well done anyway.

As a reminder, the poll closes just after noon today - not at midnight like it used to back on dcmag. So please get your vote in now!

Poll's closed now - congrats to Jinky for his Leeds waterfront shot. Deleamanda was a close second with the OMV refinery and there was a four-way split for third place. Well done all.

Jinky, send Amy a PM with your details and you will join the exclusive ranks of PhotoRadar t-shirt owners.

Now there`s some good news
Just got an email from Photography Monthly saying I`d won some Blue Box Compression software in a competition and another asking me to do a paying job at an event tomorrow so all good today!

Not sure if I`ll join the T-shirt ranks - could be a sizing issue from what I recall but I`ll PM Amy. Thanks to those who voted for me - and well done to all. Soem nice shots and I really enjoyed doing some black and white stuff.
Thinking cap on now and I`ll post a theme tomorrow or might even give you an idea later on if I get a moment.

Looks like jinky has just pipped it this week, well done.

Are we going to start doing the above and below reviews next week?

I appreciate the instructions to link to the gallery here, but it's still much quicker to link to a full sized image on Flickr.

Congrats on the software win and real paying work. I can only dream . .
