I had a go this morning with the dog, I must of been charging around for ages but the stupid dog didn't fire the shutter once!

Seriously I did have a go but she was so unpredictable and my wife and daughter kept walking across so in all quite frustrating, I will have to have another go when it is just me or pick a different subject!

I think the subject makes a big difference. I tried swans in flight, but they were too busy feeding so didn't fly. The gulls were busy flying around but they were very quick and I struggled to keep up. I may try again tomorrow.

Yes I've been keeping an eye on the swans, but as you say all they do is eat

Although we have plenty of gulls flying around the only background for me to use is the sky and when it's a darker shade of grey it's very difficult to get a blurred effect. Was hoping to snap a few motorbikes racing on the beach today, but my wife had other ideas, so went shopping instead.

Guess I'll have another bash tomorrow.

Admittedly not a very exciting subject, but I think I'm getting somewhere.

Shutter speed = 1/15 sec

I thought I'd get a better shot today, but the rain scuppered that idea. I'll try again next week.

Nick. At 1/15sec that's a pretty good effort

The swans weren't playing ball today either. Need to look at a different subject.

A good effort Luke. I don't know if this is a crop, but it could probably do with a little more space on the right hand side of the photograph, so the car has room to drive into.

Thanks Harry. I got some really strange looks as I was photographing these cars on the dual-carriageway. I'm sure some drivers thought I was some sort of speed trap.

Have you tried a different time? I would suspect that the swans come into feed in the morning shortly before visitors arrive to feed them, and depart in late afternoon when people have left for the day. And, if you do catch swans playing ball, I think your photo would be worth a fortune

Unfortunately it wasn't a crop and my real attempt at panning. Thanks for the bit of advice i will remember that for my next try at panning.
