saving pics

I've been using photoshop and lightroom to save and edit raw pics for a while now and wondering what do most people save their pics as,ie;jpeg, raw, psd, tiff? I have alot of pics on my puter as jpegs but know that each time I save Iam losing quality, and raw files are so big! So is there another way to save pics and or is there a better way to save raw files so their not as big and won't lose their quality?

You could save them to an external hard drive. You can get 1TB ones for not an awful lot these days. I keep my raw files but save the worked on final image as a large jpeg for printing.

I use LR all the time, so I save them as the original RAW files. I keep the current year on my internal drive and copy (within LR) the previous year out to an external drive.

I NEVER keep jpgs, etc, as I can export one whenever I want. Even with I do have to use PS to edit something, I do it as a TIFF, then bring it back to LR as such.
