I do have an entry but took a different approach to most. Mine is softer and not pin sharp, more grainy and I have played a little with dodge and burn. For the 1st time I shot in monochrome but the Raw file still captures the colour. I actually adore the colour version more as it was dusk and the colours are amazing. A poteential for my local hospice calendar next year I hope. Working from netbook here and image on my Mac but will post up before midnight tomorrow. Good luck every one and welcome to Spikeyjen. Glad the monthly theme has attracted more entries this month. I started the monthly comp so Im keen to keep it going.

Thank you Nick and Harry for your comments. You're right, it was the angle - since I was up against the barrier and it was very crowded I wasn't able to change angle. It was taken at the G12's full zoom, so I'm very surprised it actually came out! Due to lack of time/photoshop skills (not keen on big cloning jobs) I'm going to come in with this one of the vocalist, Chris Ousey who's holding the offending microphone - the stand is out of shot, this time.

Dave - love the tones and textures.

Harry - another great shot, although I think I prefer the shadows in the first version?

Another lovely photo Harry, but I think I prefer the texture of the thatch and the shadows in the foreground on the first image.

Thanks guys. Decisions, ,decisions, decisions. I do have to go out this morning and will be traveling over the Lincolnshire Wolds. Beautiful misty morning, so I'm taking my cameras with me.

Bit too late to upload a photo from the Bronica which was my original intention, as there are still several frames left on the roll. I no longer have a darkroom so the film will have to be sent away for develop& scan.

However as it's a beautiful sunny morning I may concentrate on IR.

Carol another super shot shot, but I think I prefer the first one. A very simple and very quick method of adjusting the mic is to lassoo the top of the mic and drag it downwards, then paint/clone out the resulting space. I tried it last night, took all of 1 minute to do.

Hello and welcome,

I had a quick look and you have some lovely shots there, if you want feedback from members here there are various photo critique sections you can post your shots in.

If you go back to the main forum you swill find a "Special Interest" section which has various sub forums for different types of photograph.
