One from a walk on Sunday - originally I tried tonemapping, but then thought one of the base images worked better in mono

Nice picture, and it must be great to take a walk over there!

Sorry - didn't manage to get on yesterday (serious Lightroom session!)

Tone mapping is another option in HDR - sometimes called LDR.

And thanks Sabrina, for your comment - it is a lovely walk down there, but didn't go this time: too much kit with me!

Sabrina, love the photo, but would certainly clone out the vignetting.
With a different sky this would IMO be a winner, so I would be inclined to do something about it. I used the 'Cloud' filter + Motion Blur in PS, plus a contrast boost, which again in my opinion improved the image.

Although not a lover of HDR I think this photo would have benefited from HDR and then converted to B&W.

A question, did you just desaturate the image? as I see traces of color.

Harry

Harry,

Thanks for your tips, I will work on it today.
And yes, I just desaturated. I will try to work on those color traces, if I find them (you've got a good pair of eyes, and maybe a better monitor than I do!)
