Your camera will already be adding something called EXIF data to your photos as you take them. This generally includes camera, lens used, aperture, shutter speed, date and time etc. It's then down to the software you use to edit your images or the save options you use, whether these details are stripped from your photos or not.

If you want to view the EXIF data of your photos, the software that came with your camera will normally do this. If you want to look at the EXIF data for other's photos that are posted online, you'll have to get an EXIF plug-in for your browser.

It is more likely your software is stripping out the info when it is resizing the photos to post online. Depending on what you are using, there are ways to stop this.
